So I just bought a new pair of Sennheiser Game Zero headphones and I am wondering where I should plug them in to get the most out of them. I don't have a sound card, however my motherboard (MSI Z97 Gaming 5) does have inbuilt audio which can power up to 600 ohms. Does it make a difference if U plug it into the inputs on my case or on my motherboard?

That's a rather vague explanation so we're going to have to assume this is a response to the only questions the OP posed.

With that in mind, yes it does make a difference. I had an HT Omega Striker 7.1, Asus Xonar Essence STX, and now have an Objective2 + ODAC and I can clearly tell the difference between when it's plugged into the front of the case and directly into the audio device. EMI manifests as static or background noise, and it becomes very apparent to me, especially at higher volumes when using the front of the case. Of course, not everyone may experience this issue as it's going to vary by the amount of EMI that's being generated.
