Where to post reviews?

Since the end of the voting period is near, I am already writing the
reviews for the games I voted on. Since I don't have web space on my
own, I wanted to know where I could post my reviews.

Is it okay to post them in this newsgroup (that would be a rather
longish post)? Or is there a post-your-own-review site on the net?

Please post them here. If you think the post would be too long, you can
split the reviews into a series of posts. This is commonly done with
comp-reviews. Look at previous years review-floods for examples.

Here is probably best if you don't have a website to put them on.

I won't be writing reviews this year, but the years when I did, I posted
them here, and so do many others.

Maybe there should be a review section at ifcomp.org?

Just an ideia anyway.

You could always submit them to SPAG.

Yeah, I know of SPAG, but I thought more of pretty short reviews. Like
only some sentences per game to give a feedback to the authors what I
liked and what I didn't and to recommemd the games I liked most. The
SPAG reviews go far more into detail, I think. Perhaps I'll write one
or two reviews for SPAG in addition.

Other respondants didn't explicitly say so, so I shall: while you're
welcome to post them here (I intend to do so as well as put them on my
web page) please do _not_ do so until after the end of the voting
period.

Yes folks, don't forget about SPAG as a review outlet. It's true what Bob
says, that I want something more substantial than just a paragraph or two
about the game you're reviewing, but my observation is that most reviewers
have at least a couple of games they want to discuss in depth. I try to
provide at least 50% original content in the annual competition issue, and
sometimes that can be hard to find.

If you've written comp reviews, or perhaps if you *haven't* written comp
reviews but would like to check out a few of the games, please keep SPAG
in mind. The deadline for the comp issue will be December 5th.
