So I have been gaming on consoles for a while now and would like to get a pc to game on. I quit working at amazon over 12 years ago and have not had a computer since. I use them at work but thats it. So I have no monitor keyboard or anything, whole new system needed. So where do you start. I am looking for a system that will play the newest games and be good enough for a while. I have built pc in the past but its been a long time. I just hear you get better bang for your buck if you build it yourself. So I have been looking at websites and get lost with all the choices, same with this site, great info but just too much of it.

Here is something to start with and tinker with I believe. I've included a decent display keyboard and mouse. Along with a non k sku i5. GPU is good but hard to say future wise how far it'll take you.

Yea that is a good build as well. I personally wouldn't go down as low as a 6300 myself mainly because it doesn't really enable you going forward to have a GPU that can go further given that the bottleneck with GPU's now days is the CPU. Headset is nice however that is a very much a taste thing do you like open or closed. Also with the keyboards I listed a cherry mx brown because its probably really close for most to a standard keyboard without the clicky annoyance of a cherry mx blue. I went with ASUS with my build because they have a stellar warranty service and solid build with their panels. And I'd still stay away from windows 8 or 8.1 not enough fixed and the ui is too wonky for my taste.
