where'd my A drive go?

hey....suddenly...i just noticed that when i tried to open something off of a
floppy disc that the A drive was not an option...???? this and other problems
have occurred since i put windows xp pro on my computer?? can someone tell me
how to get it back?

Check two things. First, check the BIOS and make sure the floppy is
enabled in there and see if you can boot off a floppy. Second, check
inside the computer and make sure none of the cables came loose from the
floppy drive. It is possible that the drive has died, but more likely
that something came loose or even the OS just no longer sees it. This
could be due to either a corrupt driver or even a bad registry entry.
