How u all doing ppl, first post so be kind lol.

Basically im after a SATA HD to put into an external case. Which 1 out of the following is the best do you reckon?

*) Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB

*) Seagate ST3500630AS 500GB

Both are same size, rpm, and cache. Even the price diff is only 20p lol.

At the mo i'm going for the WD as i've got a WD external and thats been very good.

So any reviews or help with either drive plz.

You could check for the warranty:

WD : 3 years
Seagate : 5 years

They probably about the same for performance.

HDD warranty dont matter much really. If your HDD goes then you lose everything so its not liek u can get your things back. Ive herd good things about the AAKS WD HDDs
