i want to build a plex server and i need help choosing a CPU i think i will go for a skylake and i would like one that does not need much power and does not generate a lot of heat.
I will stream a maximum of 2x 1080p
This is what i had in mind:
Case: Fractal Node 304
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX schwarz DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200
PSU: Seasonic Platinum Series Fanless 400W ATX 2.3
CPU: ?
Storage: 6x HDD 8TB + 1xSSD
I do not know how much speed i really need in the worst case so the decision is pretty hard but i think i do not want to splash out more then 200 for a cpu - the lower the better of course but it should still be quality and should work fine for around 2-3 years at minimum.
