Which 19"?

Which one should I pick? Viewsonic PF790, NEC MultiSync FE950, Samsung 900NF, or something else? What about the KDS and CTX ones?

I've got around $400 to spend on the monitor and am currently leaning towards the NEC.

If you have any great sites with reviews of those monitors, please post them as well, thanks.

Both the NEC and Samsung you mentioned are very good.

If you can somehow afford it, I think its worth another $100 to get the Compaq MV940 19" monitor. It is a very nice looking monitor and produces and outstanding picture, not to mention it has the same depth as a 17" monitor.

I like my Micron 900MX made by CTX (their model PR960F minus the USB hub). It's a Sony FD trini and has plenty of adjustments incl. convergence and color purity, the latter esp. useful for bringing the corners up to the satuation of the center...450 at BestBuy (I got an open box for $350, a deal!)
JUST GET A CARRY-IN WARRANTY...THESE ARE HEAVY DUDES...WILL COST YOU $7O FOR SHIPPING UNDER WARRANTY...
GOOD LUCK....

Check out for LG's 19" FLATRON 915FT Plus, it features an absolutely flat screen(inside and out), it has a .24 dot pitch and a high res of 1600x1200@85Hz, on screen controls in 8 languages etc.

I am very pleased with my mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 true flat model. Picked it up at egghead.com for about 470. The Flat Screens are more expensive but I think they are worth it. After all you can use a monitor for many years.

I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 as well and it has a stunning flat screen and really vibrant colours - well worth the extra over a non-flat screen.
