Which 2 x 8 pin should I plug into on AORUS X299 gaming 7 pro?

Hi, newer to building here. I have a Rosewill 750 gold PSU that has two 2x4 CPU connectors. One of the connectors is a one piece. But on the same cable as the one piece it branches off to a two piece connector.

My motherboard is a AORUS X299 gaming 7 pro. It has two 2 x 4 plugs for the CPU.

So do I plug BOTH of these 2x4 connectors from the PSU into BOTH 2x4 plugs on the motherboard? If yes, is there a particular order the plugs go in (one piece 1st, two piece 2nd)? If no, which one do I plug into which plug?

Both cables should be plugged in and the order does not matter. The cable ends that split into two parts connect together to make one connector...There is a small piece on the connector that allows the cable connector to become one piece...Then you connect that to the motherboard 8 pin connector and the same on the other one....It is a bit fiddly but the 2 ends do come together and then can only fir one way into the 8 pin motherboard connector...

Sorry to ask on your post VBFL, but I also have almost the same question, my power supply it's a Corsair CP-9020180-NA Fuente de Poder Modular, 850 Watts, Gold, but it came only with one 8pin CPU cable but it has the option to connect another one on the back, I finnaly get the cable but on one end it has the 8pin connector and on the other has de 4+4 CPU cable split in half... so I did what you recommend and everything plug just fine but when I tried to turn on the machine, it dosen't do anything! only the RAM lights starts but no fan, bios or anything happens...

Am I doing something wrong? It's the cable wrong? I checked the cable continuity and all the "down" pins are Ground and all the "upper" pins are power...

PSU: Corsair TX850m Gold

And the second cable I'm trying to connect it where it sais CPU 4+4:

From one end the cable it's a complete 8 pin and it's label as "CPU" on the other end it's split on 2 parte both sais "CPU"

I have to admit I am slightly confused. So the Gigabyte Z299 Gaming 7 requires 2 x 8 pin CPU EPS 12v power cables....I looked at your power supply and it says it has only 1 CPU 12v cable....Does it actually have 2? What I need to know is the CPU 12v cable fixed to your power supply meaning it cannot come off and then you have a spare CPU 4+4 Pin port on the Power Supply?

Also try booting with just one CPU 12v cable...use the main CPU 12v cable that came with the power supply.

Sorry about the confusion but I need to see a picture of your power supply and the leads that come of it...Are you sure the extra CPU power cable is the right one?

Don't worry, and again thx for the help. The PSU came with just one FIXED cable as you said and I bought 1 cable that has this connector on one end:

And this on the other side:

As far as I have been investigating this cable it's correct but if I tried to use both cable (the one it's fixed and this one) the PC does not start

Using only the one that it's fixed it starts without problems but when I tried to run high demand proccesing I get this BlueScreen and Microsofts sais it's because of the PSU.

Okay, I can see that it does require both for heavy loads. The split side goes to the motherboard and the fixed side goes the the PSU. I also read this about the i9-7960X

'Make sure to use a power supply able to deliver a minimum of 20A on the 12V rail. We've heard reports of up to 530W flowing through the eight-pin EPS cable, so a beefy PSU is a must.'

So I think a better Power Supply with a proper 2 x 8 Pin CPU cable setup might be better. Still I think it is the cable itself that is the issue..
