Currently own 144hz 1920x1080 24inchs paired with my PC : RTX 3070 - i5 12600K setup.

I've always wanted to own a 2 monitors so with Cyber Monday + Black Friday sales I am looking to buy second monitor. My intention is to make my current monitor the secondary monitor and get a better upgraded one. Which one should I go for and is best for value for money. I would like a resolution bump and I have my eyes on 1440p 27 inch monitor with 240hz. Is this a good choice ? My question is what is good monitor that will be noticeably different for gaming from my current one. Thanks

Unpopular opinion, avoid 1440 monitors. I don't understand the fascination with 4x 720. I personally stick with either 1080, or 4k. Yes, you'll need to turn settings down in order to play games at 4k vs 1440. But for me its a mental thing.

Having done multi monitor setups for years, I do suggest you try to get a panel as close to your current one. If they are going to be side by side. Nothing is worse than setting up your new gear and the color temp, size, etc doesn't match. (Probably another mental thing i have.) If the secondary monitor will be off to the side this is less of an issue. When I ran my eyefinity setup, even though i had 3 identical monitors I did have to spend some time calibrating them so the colors were the same.

My suggestion would be a good 4k monitor. As fast as you can afford. Set your current monitor off the side of the desk so it's not really in your FOV. Use it for IM, music, temp monitoring, etc. Can't give you a direct link to one because you didn't give a budget. (and after I got my freesync monitor I haven't really been paying attention to monitors.)
