I have been looking to replace my spinning hard drives in my main and LAN rigs.

I know that even the crappiest SSD will smoke most HDDs without breaking a sweat.

I am looking for 2TB SATA 6G SSD. I don't need an NVME as they are more expensive and these drives will be for storage and Steam games.

Here are a few choices I have narrowed it down to:

Samsung 870 QVO 2TB - $180
Crucial MX500 2TB - $170
Crucial BX500 2TB - $160

The BX500 from what I am reading is a DRAMless SSD, but it does have the lowest price.

Remember, these are NOT going to be boot drives, simply storage and gaming drives.

Thanks.

Choose one with better endurance ratings.

Samsung 870 QVO 2TB - 720TBW
Samsung 860 EVO 2TB - 1200TBW
Crucial BX500 2TB - 720TBW
Crucial MX500 2TB - 360TBW (This doesn't seem right. Should be 700TWB. But that's, what is listed on Crucial website.)

The MX500 is indeed 700TBW.

I ended up getting the MX500 model for $170 shipped.
