Question Which 4th or 5th gen motherboard should I use with ryzen 2700x and xpg 3600 MHz ddr 4 ram to have the best performance??? Msi and Asus boards?

Can't decide which motherboard from msi or Asus I should buy for my current hardware. Right now I have a ryzen 2700x with 3600 MHz ddr4 ram from xpg. Need a board which can give me the most performance and future proof.

Whatever you do, do not consider any of the MSi MPG motherboards (their MEG lineup is okay). Their power supply design (i.e. VRMs) are horribly deficient with AMD's 105-watt CPUs, hitting 100+ degrees C where other brands usually only have temps of 50-60 degrees. I know the 2700X is not a 105-watt CPU, but if you want to upgrade in the future, the MSi MPG boards would be a poor choice.

I have the ASUS X570 ROG Crosshar VIII Hero motherboard which replaced my crappy MSI X570 MPG Gaming Pro Carbon. The temps on the board is 50 degrees C below the MSi... a LOT cooler... This board while a tad expensive at $360, has temps that only $700+ boards can match or beat...

Motherboard generally has little to no impact on performance. X570 is technically more future proof due to PCIe 4.0, but it requires a 3rd gen Ryzen CPU and nothing really takes proper advantage of it yet.

B450 is the best bang for buck.
