So I currently own a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 and its never given me a problem with heat nor noise despite living in the Carribbean. Now, its starting to show its age as I play Witcher and looking to upgrade to a GTX 980 or maybe a 980 Ti. For Gigabyte and their 980 variant I really like the design and the 3 fans but I've heard about poor performance and cooling compared to its counterpart, but those issues may be fixed now who knows. I've read the EVGA's new ACX 2.0 is pretty good but what about MSI and ASUS? anyway I'm basically asking what would be the best aftermarket buy for me. I'm leaning towards EVGA but what do you guys think?

Honestly, they different coolers all perform well. The difference may be 1-2 degrees in temp. I always choose cards based on my past experiences with the company, and reviews on the specific model, specifically about any coil whine issues, DOA issues, or poor customer service.

The Gigabyte G1 gaming is usually recognized as very good cooler with good overclocking potential, but like oczdude mentions, performance will be very close between all the brands. If the 980 Ti is in your budget I would get that over the 980.

I'm starting to find the 980 Ti redundant in my case because I game at 1080p. Also I will consider the G1 gaming
