Which alternate Firmware is best for my router?

Router: Netgear WNDR3700v1

Yes I know the router is outdated and hasn't got any FW updates in a long time.
Yes I know its time to upgrade to a better router.

But I do not want to upgrade/buy a new router as of now.

Open-WRT

DD-WRT can provide additional flexibility, but at the cost of learning to use it. If you have the time and desire, it is very useful, but for the average home user the last OEM firmware is the easiest and usually works fine if you aren't trying to do client bridging or something that DD-WRT can provide.
