So I have a free version:
  • Webroot Internet Security Complete 2021
  • Trend Micro Internet Security + Antivirus 2021
  • Microsoft Defender (obviously)

And I can get 75% off:
- Bitdefender Internet Security 2019

Thanks!

Windows defender tested out best a while back for known viruses.
It is low resource, updated via windows, and free.

Yes, if you are paranoid, there are some more active antivirus that will attempt to detect "in the wild" viruses(those nobody has seen before).
They will be paid apps and will consume more resources.
If you stay off the porn sites/ illegal software /crack'd downloads/illegal streaming sites you will be fine with just Defender...

That being said, I have a lot of respect for Kaspersky's Free AV....(you will get a 'reminder NAG' from them pushing their VPN service, but, big deal!)

Hm, we all have temptations haha. I haven't heard much of Kaspersky, since my company stopped selling it years ago. Is there no benefit to a paid version?
