Which APU is best

Solution
Depends honestly the A6-6400K is slower than the A8-5600K as the A8 has 2 more cores and more gpu cores. The main difference between the two architecturally is the the 6000 series has a better turbo core functionality. Now as far as minecraft goes it has very low requirements but if you want to bump the settings up to max and use graphical mods and/or shaders then even an A10-7850K wouldn't be sufficient. So as far as this goes the A8 would give better performance.

If you were comparing the 6600k to the 5600k the 6600k is the clear winner. Also when using an AMD APU make sure you are using 2 Sticks (same size memory) of DDR3-1866 or faster. AMD APU's are much faster when paired with fast memory.

Yeah it is true that you really shouldn't be pairing current AMD APU's with a high end GPU and expect excellent gaming performance, but we are talking about minecraft here. stevenbobdonut isn't playing Laracroft, COD, etc but minecraft. And honestly you can get some really good performance from an A10-6800k or A10-7850k in minecraft hell people are playing minecraft on first generation i3's and i5's using the onboard GPU.............

EDIT:

Well he did say he was playing Minecraft.....

Well for minecraft particularly CPU is not really something that needs to be focused on. The AI in the game is very rudimentary and simple. Most of the difficult CPU calculations happen at the beginning when the world is generated and that is only once every time the user makes a new world and even then is usually not a very long process a few seconds to maybe a couple of minutes depending on the algorithm used to make the world. So if Minecraft is the most difficult thing this computer will do then an AMD APU would be perfect.

(I have watched my friends play Minecraft so I have seen how the game plays and what it does)

Yeah there is that and making sure your Java version is up to date (64bit Java 8 with the latest patches). You can modify a string in the launcher to add more memory for the game to use more system memory. It defaults to 1GB. I set my friends system that has 12GB to 6GB it seems to work well for him.
