Which benchmark types are relevant for architectural 3D rendering?

There are plenty of CPU benchmarks for different applications but I don't know of any specifically for 3D rendering in architectural work. Which of the commonly available benchmarks are most closely related to the said application using programs like V-Ray and Lumion?

I'm not simply looking for advice on a "best" CPU for the purpose. This is not for a single build on a fixed budget. Rather, I'd like to be able to evaluate available CPUs for cost-effective solutions at different budget levels, now and in the foreseeable future. Also, pointers to which current CPU families are likely candidates will be most helpful.

I'm aware of the importance of the speed and amount of RAM as well as that of the storage drive. But I'm new to the field of 3D rendering, so if there are other factors I should look out for, please do point them out.

Thanks in advance.

Cinebench is a pretty good benchmark for cpu renderers. If you want it purely for cpu based rendering i would check out a dual xeon e5-2670 build (they cost 100 each on ebay) this is in my opinion one of the best cost effective builds for cpu based rendering. Only thing thats holding me back to buy one is the lower speed for single core tasks since i don't render the whole time.
