What exactly are the cards that you are looking at?

The memory type alone doesn't tell us anything.

Assuming all other things are the same (which they probably are not) I would choose 512MB 256Bit personally... However its much more important which chipset the cards are based on, if you want to list specific cards we can help you better. Or alternatively if you have a price range in mind we can give you some suggestions.

Almost 100% of the time, a 512MB card with 256 bit interface would be better, but it depends on the specific cards.
