Which BIOS is the latest? FC or F2c

I'm upgrading my processor and I need a BIOS that is F2c or more recent. My current BIOS is FC, so I was wondering if I need an upgrade

Please tell us your motherboard model number so we can even start verifying. ^^

But usually, if this is a Gigabyte board, the F2C bios is a beta, so I would not use it unless you have issues.

You only need an upgrade if you are having issues with the MB, AND those specific issues are corrected with the bios update.

My MOBO is Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2 . I'm upgrading my CPU To an AMD 880K Athlon

Socket is FM2+

Okay. As previous said, it is a BETA bios, but for the AMD 880K, you need to upgrade to the F2C Beta Bios, before installing it.

I'd say go ahead and install the F2C bios, which is more recent. Check for stability issues. If all goes well, then go ahead and upgrade you CPU. If not, revert to F1 and think about another upgrade path. (new motherboard or new rig)

Oh. Then you have Rev. 1.1 of your board. Sorry, I did not see this on the website.

FC is the latest bios for your board. DO NOT update to F2C after all, as it is not made for your board. FC will support the AMD 880K already. No need to update and it is the latest.
