Which bit should I upgrade?

Hello,
my specs are:
CPU: AMD fx(tm)-4100 3.6ghz
Motherboard: gigabyte M68MT-s2
Memory: 8gb of ram
Video Card: Asus GTX 770 Nvidia GeForce DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Unfortunately for some reason I seem to be getting awful frames in most games, is my cpu bottlenecking my video card?

Yes. Your CPU will be a rather major bottleneck. This testing below shows your CPU was a bottleneck for GPU's of 6970 or higher class in 2012, so it will be an even larger one in 2013. Also upgrading to a GTX 770 placed more load on your CPU which probably exasperated the issue.

psu: Corsair Gaming Series 2013 Edition GS 800W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit

And if I upgraded my cpu to a AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition FX-8350, would that be better for the 770?
