Hello!
I want to put together an i7-14700k machine, which has almost all the parts ready to order, but I can't find a motherboards. I looked at a lot of z790 boards and the problem with all of them is that there is no room for my sound card (SBz PCI-e) next to the msi rtx 4080 suprim, and of course many people bury the soundcards, but I would keep them because it sounds miles better than the motherboard integrated (a genius 5.1 is connected).

Only on the Asrocks did I find a few with a pci-e slot at the bottom, but even the best quality Asrocks are supposed to be... crappy? The problem with the rest is that there is no pci-e space on them at all, or if there is, then as I said, it won't fit because of the video card. I don't feel like experimenting, the photos don't show the distances, but with an Asus tuf gaming z790, for example, it's AS IF there were room, but if they were too close to each other, it would be at the expense of the gpu cooling. I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

On the specs page of your Soundblaster here (if this is it)

it states "Available PCI Express® (x1, x4 or x16) slot"
Thank you so much man i didn't realize this. Any recommendation for a z790 mobo? I have a GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS Elite AX-W saved. I'm not an enthusiast probably won't overclock stuff. Need for (possibly 4k) gaming mostly.

One more question. Is is true that if i use one PCI-E slot on the motherboard at the bottom then the GPU slot at the top will not run at x16 but only x8? In that case installing a soundcard to the bottom slot is a no-go i don't want to handycap the gpu slot. Or who said this made a mistake.
