Which Brands of Motherboards and GPUs should I purchase

I plan to replace my entire gaming PC setup either at the end of this year or early next year. Much like it being easier to buy all home theater components from one manufacturer for ease of interoperability and control, I am considering a similar approach in getting the GPU, motherboard, and, if possible, other internal and/or external components from the same manufacturer. I am not brand specific and my top concern is reliability. Good customer service would be a nice bonus. When I studied how to build my first Gaming PC, my study book at the time of its publication recommended Asus and Gigabyte for both GPUs and motherboards and EVGA for GPUs. I will note that I am ruling out Asus due to the fact that I have had problems with a number of their products over the last several years and I did not find their customer service very reliable. I know that Gigabyte, EVGA, and MSI manufacture both GPUs and motherboards as well as other certain internal and external computer components. Which of these brands would you recommend for a combo GPU/motherboard setup? Also, based on your recommendations, could you tell me whether or not your recommended brand's other products including PC cases, power supplies, cooling, etc. would work reliably and be worth the financial investment? I am also open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Buying from all the same manufacturer really wont net you any gain. Quality is pretty solid across the board these days and it comes down to alot of different factors.

For motherboards ASUS is probably considered king without question, although ASRock and MSI are pretty good for less money and Gigabyte has quite a following as well although I have no experience with them.

For graphics card ASUS has good cards but bad customer service where as EVGA is considered to be solid cards with very good service and warranty.

As far as power supplies that is a whole different story, no brand is best, it really comes down to specific models, since say an EVGA G3 is an excellent PSU where as the EVGA W1 is trash. A better expamble though would...

A better expamble though would be the budget end PSU Corsair VS being absolutel trash and the Corsair CX/CXM a decent budget PSU.

Case wise it's a mixed bag, some brands are just trash where as other have great cases for some models and trash for others. Phanteks, Fractal Designs, Corsair, and NZXT all have a pretty solid line up.
