Which build is better?

since i been trying to build a good computer to be able to play high definition games such as Crysis 3 and do video editing i came up with 2 builds i want to know which one is better?

The i7 build doesn't have a mobo...and no price on the PSU and DVD player. So prices don't seem the same. I'd rather have a i5 build with decent cooler.

Intel build that is first one is better.

Do you plan to overclock, etc?

The first build would be better for video editing, however both of your rigs are pretty different, as they are different storage solutions.

How much storage do you need? What is your total budget?

With this, I can mix both of these builds for a better build.

Also- your intel build isn't complete.

Oops sorry here is the motherboard that im going to use on the Intel build Asus Maximus V Formula EATX LGA1155 Motherboard.

Yes I am planing on overclocking , i wanted to compare the boot drives speed on each one. i don't care so much about the storage because I'm getting a 1tb external drive and my total budget is $1200

please update your builds. although since you don't do video editing you should get a i5 build for sure.

For which drive is faster, the 840 EVO is faster from what I know.

Since you dont plan on video editing, drop that i7 to and i5 3570k- and you'll be good to go.

Your PSU is also overkill, a 650w would be more than enough.
