Which build is better?

Would you, and anyone else replying to this, explain how it's(Intel or AMD) faster? Or better.

Benchmarks, both theoretical and gaming benchmarks prove that Intel's circuit design is superior to AMD's design. All AMD has going for it is that they have extremely low-priced processors that are superior to the equivalently priced Intel processors. At the high enf, AMD has nothing that can compete with Intel.

Go to passmark.com and look at the high-end CPU benchmark list.

Read reviews on Toms or any one of a number of gaming sites to see how the processors stack up in game benchmarks.

Pass mark has the AMD cpu higher than the intel cpu. To clarify I am not looking for a AMD vs Intel debate. I am simply looking for which one of these two builds is better overall for gaming.

It has it higher in throughput. Look closer and you will see that the single-threaded performance of the Intel i5 is 2252 vs 1403 for the AMD.

I'm not an Intel fanboi, but since about 2000 when Intel brought out the COre 2 architecture, AMD has been lagging in high-end performance as well as power consumption.

There are also specialized areas where the Intel processors have advanced instructions sets such as for video conversion and a few other areas I've forgotten right now.

However, here are benchmark numbers using a discrete GPU and Intel and AMD processor. Now look at this and tell me it's an AMD vs Intel debate. It's not. Plain and simple.
