Hello PC Master Race you have a possible new recruit here, and after two weeks I've arrived at two possible builds. Which build do you think is better in terms of both game performance and general performance such as programming/coding, web design, word processing, internet browsing, video editing etc. I still classify as a noob so any help is greatly appreciated.

Build 1:

AMD FX-8320
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (only getting this because AMD stock coolers are supposed to be rubbish)
Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 Motherboard
Corsair 8GB RAM (4X2) DDR3-1600
1TB HDD 7200RPM 64Mb Cache
MSI R9 270
Zalman Z11 Plus HF1

Build 2 (£45 more expensive than Build 1) :

Intel i5-4670k
MSI Z87-G43 motherboard
Corsair 8GB RAM (4X2) DDR3-1600
1TB HDD 7200RPM 64Mb Cache
MSI R9 270
Zalman Z11 Plus HF1

Which build do you think is better? Is Build 2 worth the extra money? Thanks in advance all your opinions are greatly appreciated!

Solution
The Intel build. Although, with a R9-270, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in gaming. But if you ever upgrade the gfx card, the i5 will be best.
For those other tasks, it will be a tossup. The 8320 has 4 extra integer units, but the i5 has a much faster IPC.
