I will play World of Warcraft only on the pc that I plan to build, but I have a tight budget so I came with these specs:

INTEL PENTIUM G3220
ASUS H81M-E
KINGSTON 4GB DDR3
PALIT GEFORCE GTX750 TI
KINGSTON SSD V300 120GB
SEASONIC S12II-520 520W 80+ BRONZE

or maybe:

INTEL CORE i5 4440
ASUS H81M-E
KINGSTON 4GB DDR3
KINGSTON SSD V300 120GB
SEASONIC S12II-520 520W 80+ BRONZE

If ever, I chose the G3220 I might as well buy a graphics card along with it. But if I picked the Core i5, then my budget cannot allow to buy a graphics card and will depend on the integrated graphics of the i5. Which of the two do you think will be the better choice for World of Warcraft?

Solution
If you are playing on lower res, it *might* be sensible to go for an i5 after all. Especially if you intend to upgrade the graphics card in near future.

Reports on the web claim that intel HD 4600 can play it (with low shadows and medium other stuff) on 1080p, and runs at 40+ fps on average, with ocassional dips to 15-20. It is certainly better on lower res. Still, not quite the level i3 +260X would provide. But you end up having a faster CPU and if you can hold off until you get the money for GPU, you get everything in the end. Just be prepared to lower details and expect ocassional framerate dips.
Another vote for i3 + 260X. WoW uses 2-3 threads at most and i3 is enough for that. I would not go for an i5 + integrated graphics combo, since this will severely limit graphics performance (likely to 20 fps on average in 1080p). Yes, WoW is heavily dependant on the CPU, but GPU is very important as well. So a balance is needed.

That's it! and i3 and a R7 260X 😀 I thought since the WoW is a CPU dependent game it will work out just fine in an i5 even without integrated graphics. Some people here are really misleading me -_- I can't really tell because the stores here in the Ph offer limited components and sometimes overpriced. And maybe I will only play in 1366x768 or 1600x900 monitor.

I think if I went with the i5, I will just be playing on a 1366x768 resolution. WoW has settings which are Very Low, Fair, Medium, Medium High, High, Ultra. I would like if maybe it can reach Fair or Medium settings.

Yeah, I plan to get a good GPU and a 1080p monitor later on. For now, I would just play with it, i5 is it?
