Hello internet humans!

A few days ago I got my first real gaming monitor, a BenQ XL2430T and today I ordered my first gaming PC with upper tier specs but I have a question:

Which cable will I need/or i preferred to use with this setup on a 144 Hz rate with the MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6GB?

The box contained a DVI-I/DVI-I cable IIRC. And the GPU (image link) has a DVI-I port if I'm not mistaken.

So what is the best option for me on this setup? Just the displayport/displayport or a combination of DVI-D Dual Link/Displayport? What's better?

I'd be very thankful for any helpful guidance!

Thanks guys for your answers. This is the cable that came with the monitor: http://imgur.com/7jjT1zq

The site where I ordered the pc states the following regarding the GPU:

Video Output Function
Dual-link DVI-I x 1
HDMI x 1
DisplayPort x 3

That DVI-I part confused me since I've read it's DVI-D dual link that is needed for 144 Hz gaming.
I'm sorry if these are noob questions and I don't know much about these things, I just want to finally have a great gaming platform. : - )

So can I just go with the cable that came with the monitor to get 144 Hz (given the information about the GPU and the attached picture of the cable)
