Hi Everyone! Does this seem like a viable rig that would run games on max? Goal is to run Battlefield 3 on max when it comes out haha. Just make sure everything can gel with each other I guess: I'm completely new to this, so please excuse me if I'm talking outta my butt :)

One major thing: I need to know what cables to buy. I know that the DVD Drive I have here is OEM, so what cables do I need? A newegg link would be nice so that I know exactly what I need. Also, do I need another cable for the hardrive? Another SATA one? Again, links would be good. Any cables that I would need, please comment on it so that I'll know what to get. P.S. All this stuff is on newegg, just search it there if you want more info on each part.

Cheers!

Looks like a good, balanced rig.

Change the memory with some DDR3 1600 modules.

Gskill Ripjaws X 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 - $52

The motherboard should come with the SATA cables, you won't have to buy them seperately.

I prefer this motherboard :
ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 Z68 - $125

PCIe 3.0 Slots, best bang for the buck.
