[SOLVED] Which card is better for i9-9900k

Hey guys curious on what you think is the best gpu for the i9 9900. I know the obvious choice is the 3080 but I don’t have the budget to spend 1000 plus. So I’ve been looking at the 3070s or even amd 6800xt. Both are much more affordable around 700 used. Which ones best and if there are any better choices that would help.

I think I would go with the 3070 then. Do you have an idea of what the best choice would be for the 3070s

Currently 1080p 144hz but will eventually upgrade to 1440.

The 3080 is way overkill for 1080p 144Hz, I’m running one on 1440p 144Hz. You will want that monitor upgrade.

For the 3070 I wouldn’t bother, it’s barely faster than the 3060Ti. As for the 6800XT it’s good but I like Ray Tracing and DLSS2.0 so happy with the 3080.

No. It's $140 above MSRP.

HOWEVER:

The fact you were able to find one at all is a minor miracle. So this is a question that only you can answer, IMO.

Most mid towers should be able to accomodate a GPU that big, whats the case brand and model?

Dont buy unless price is lower than msrp on an open box. Also, better you buy retail brand new card for peace of mind.
