Hello all,

I've read so much reviews that I'm starting to develop this big headache so I thought I'd just post here. Right now I am in the process of building a rig for my brother and perhaps upgrade my BFG 8800GTS G92 with something faster.

Budget: $200 and under

Most important factors: noise and speed

Basically, I shun noisy cards and want the quietest card possible, followed by how fast it is. I am looking at these two cards:

I can get this card down to $125 after tax and rebate at Microcenter and could even go SLI as well. Would SLI match the power of a GTX 580?
EVGA 01G-P3-1373-TR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) Superclocked EE 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

I can get this down to $160 at Microcenter after tax and rebate:
EVGA 02G-P3-1386-KR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

It doesn't have to be either one of these two cards; any other suggestion is welcomed. I've heard of the MSI 460 Hawk Talon but it's not available at Microcenter so I can't use their coupon.

The new card will go with this board + an i5 2500K:
GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 LGA 1155 Z68 mATX Intel Motherboard

sub $200 would be gtx 560 non-ti or hd 6870 after rebate, sometime you might find a good deal on gtx 560ti and hd 6950 1gb on sale with that price, for hd 6870 i think xfx dual fan model would be cool and quiet.

Thanks, borden5. A follow-up question to you or anyone who knows.

I currently use an ip35-pro board with a Q9450 and a BFG 8800GTS G92. If I get a newer card, say anything from a 460 on up, would I experience any bottleneck with using the new card to it's maximum potential? I will add an SSD as well.
