Hi - would love some help from the gurus out there. Thank you in advance.

I am upgrading my system from a Athlon XP 1400 to an Athlon XP 2600, but my motherboard is still 266SFB and 4X AGP.

I am replacing my old GeForce 2 card, but am having trouble deciding which graphics card to buy now. I have about $200-$250 to spend. The card will be used almost exclusively for PC games and I would like something that will be able to handle Half-Life 2, EverQuest 2, and Doom III when they are released later in 2004.

Thank you for the advice!

If it's US dollars then the ATI R9800 non-pro (or pro if you can swing a sweet deal), an nV FX5900non-ultra might also be in that price range, the FX5900XT (lesser brother to the FX5900non-ultra) has an MSRP of $199.

If it's Canadian dollars then I would recommend the Ati Radeon 9600Pro, really the only choice in that price range.
