Hi

For around 179$ I can get a geforce4 Ti4200 8x or a
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. This is mainly for games. Which do I get? Thanks.

Also, my other specs are

Pentium 800
384 mB RAM
ATI Radeon VIVO 64 DDR

Get the radeon 9600. But if you can squeeze a couple more bucks... you can get a radeon 9700 non-pro for about 200-220$ and it's the best bang for the buck right now. And will totally own both previous card.

I agree with Ganache, do that. If you do not do that... have someone come over to your house and hit you on the head with a tack hammer because you will be considered a retard. Also, if you don't get the 9600 pro at least, make sure you purchase a drool cup to go with your TI 4200...because you will need it to catch whatever falls out of your open mouth when anyone sporting a 9600 pro or above smokes you in FPS.

Thanks for the info and yes it's american $$. I dont trust alot of these places that have super cheap prices online. I've heard horror stories of bad experiences and waiting weeks and weeks to get your stuff. Can someone recommend and trustworthy online place with good prices?

That's very expensive for a Ti4200. I bought one last August for $160.00 and you can find them for literally half of that now.

I second the Newegg recommendation.

If you have an Abit KG7 mothoreboard, go get the 9500pro. The AGP slot deosn't supply the voltage that the card needs to run. It simply gets post error (long beep, 2 short beep). I had that problem and had to switch and I heard that another person was having the same problem.
