So i am deciding between the RX 480 8GB vs GTX 1060 6GB . I will use it for 1080p gaming and don't think i will get a gync or freesync monitor anytime in the near future.
I plan to use the graphic card for a min of 4 years so which one do you recommend?

I was going for the 1060 but now with the new Relive drivers for AMD im not sure anymore.
And also i heard that RX 480 im more compatible with DX12 but im not sure what the newer games are going to use?

And to add to confusion, NVidia works on new drivers (378.74) that are supposed to work great with DX12 (https://www.cdaction.pl/news-48822/nvidia-bierze-sie-za-optymalizacje-w-directx-12.html text is in polish, but the numbers speak for themselves)

In short, there is no 'better' choice here. Everything goes down to personal preference and price.
