Which Case Fans?

Hello. My new case (Corsair Carbide 200R) came with 2x120mm 3-pin fans (front & rear exhuast) but has 2 top exhaust ports as well. I would like to get a couple more fans to put up top, but I'm not entirely sure which to get. I would like to be able to control the speeds, but it isn't necessary.
My Motherboard is an MSI 970A-G46 and has 1x3-pin and 1x4-pin fan connector. The rear fan is connected to the 3-pin, but the front fan wouldn't power on with the 4-pin, so I connected it to an old molex that has a 2-pin adapter and it works fine.

If I want to control the speeds of all the fans, what would be the best course of action and which fans would be suitable for a decent balance of airflow and low noise? I don't think my PSU has any 3 or 4-pin connectors.

Get a fan controller.
Get some corsair fans(AF series).
Plug in all fans you have into the controller.
Connect controller to PSU.
Have fun. I like the NZXT Sentry.

Does it matter if the fans are 3 or 4-pin, or will they both connect to the Sentry-2 controllers just fine?

They must be 4 pin, otherwise you cannot control them. 3 pins for power, one for control.
