Can't decide:

(TBird 1G, Abit KT7ARaid, 256 RAM, 46G IBM V.Fast IDE HD)

Sony 12x8x32x £125
Aopen 12x10x32x £135
Ricoh 12x10x32x £138 (Burn-Proof)
Plextor 12x10x32x £179 (Burn-Proof)
TDK 12x10x32x £175 (Burn-Proof)
Plextor 16x10x40x £198 (Burn-Proof)
TDK 16x10x40x £195 (Burn-Proof)

All IDE versions. Any experience with these drives? I have have an old 5x Creative DVD-Rom if that makes any difference and will be ripping from the HD most of the time, rather than from CD.

even i have plextor 16x10x40x i would buy a ricoh if i could find it at the time i was buying plextor. save yer money for something that you will use more often... 2 minutes difference does not make any difference, but £60 will if you working hard to get them, otherwise all the drives do the same thing, so its up to yer choice... heh

K7 + KT7A + SBLive! + VooDoo3000 =

I know the Plextor is supported for all media and sub file thingy. As well is Roch.
If your going to burn your brains out then go for the 16. If only and now and then thing, go for the 12X.

Take Care.
Yes,I know I'm immature, but my goal is insanity!
