Which Cherry MX switch most similar to membrane keyboards?

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to get a new mechanical keyboard alongside my pc, but am stuck for choices regarding the cherry switches.

So my question is: which switch feels most like a stock NON-mechanical keyboard (in terms of actuation force, etc)?

If you want a keyboard that feels like a membrane, get a membrane. People buy mechanical keyboards because they feel different from membrane boards, buying one to feel like a Membrane is missing the point.

I don't want it to feel like a membrane, I just want it to be similar, so i'm easing into mechanical keyboards per se.

The closest to a Membrane keyboard I think would be an MX Black Switch, but not sure. IMO, just get the key switch you want outright, no need to get a membrane-like switch to act as training wheels.

Well thats the problem. I have no reference point of any switches, and no shops in my vicinity have demoes out, so i'm trying to decide based on the one thing I DO know... what a membrane keyboard feels like

Gamestop's typically have Razer products on display, the Blackwidow keyboards use MX Blue switches.

Cherry mx green are similar but are rare.
