I am confused between getting an
Asus P9x79 LE (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131855&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo)
and a
GIGABYTE GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128563&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo)
I am mostly concerned with the chip set, the Gigabyte has a C606 chipset whereas the Asus has a X79 one.
If I am building a 3D Production and Rendering workstation, which chipset should I go for, and does it really make a difference, and how ?
I heard that the C606 chip set is better for workstations , is that true, and why ?
