I am buying a laptop, and I have a choice of different hard drives. Which option is best? Thanks!

1. 1 TB 5400 rpm Hard drive

2. 1 TB 5400 rpm Hard drive + 24GB flash Hard Drive Acceleration Cache

3. 1 TB 5400 rpm Hybrid Hard Drive

4. 1 TB 5400 rpm Hybrid Hard Drive + 24GB flash Hard Drive Acceleration Cache

Well, best in a world where money is no object would be the last option - hybrid drive with a cache. I don't really know what they mean by "24GB flash Hard Drive Acceleration Cache" - this just sounds like an mSATA drive that they are configuring as some kind of cache.

The "best" option would be to get the cheapest one you can, buy a new fast SSD like a Samsung 840 Pro or 840 EVO, trash the drive that ships with the laptop and replace it. 5400 rpm is really slow by today's standards and they really should not even be used anymore.
I would say #2 out of those options. If I had the choice though I'd get a full SSD. The flash cache will speed it up a little bit though. I would say 4 but I have not heard of many people using Hybrid drives and I only recommend either HDD or SSD for this reason.
