Which combo is better?

2x4gb g.skill ares 1866mhz

vs

INTEL PENTIUM G4560
MSI B250M BAZOOKA
2x4gb Crucial DDR4 2133mhz


I'll be using this build for casual gaming and 3d modeling and video editing. what is the best choice combo here? can you explain it to me? thankss!

performance wise 4560 is twice as powerful in all benchmarks so it an easy pick. but depends on your budget, also price wise I would look up the G4620 instead, runs about 90$ since your using a B250 board, might as well enjoy that hyperthreading to the max 😛

Neither. AMD Ryzen is now here, and even the cheapest among them will beat both of those rigs, especially in modelling and video editing. And the price/performance ratio is great.

agreed if the benchmarks are proven by 3rd parties, until then I hold my vote

but here in the Philippines, the only available in the market is g4560, G4620 is not yet on stock. So i all ready bought G4560 last week. I'm just curious because based on what i read on some forumss, 8 cores is the best when it comes in 3d modeling. But i chose to get g4560 because of the upgrade path in near future. Im thinking to go for an i5 or better i7 in near future.
