Hi,

I've been doing a lot of searching, but have not found any posts that would exactly match my issue or provide a solution for it.

My machine started to get stuck in a black screen with a small "B2" in the corner for abot 2-3 minutes during startup. It always starts up eventually but it sits like this for several minutes on each boot. This started happening about a year ago and it's been very consistent. For most people reporting this error the machine gets stuck forever in the black sceen / B2 mode, which is not my case.

I read somewhere that B2 would be GPU related, but I've had this same error now with 3 different GPU's (MSi 760, ASUS 770 and MSi 1070). I've also updated my BIOS, and it did not help. During the past year it's once or twice started up normally. Once after a Windows re-install and some times when I've added a new component for the first very time.

My current setup:
Intel i5 3570
MSi GTX 1070 (Yea I know it's an overekill for this setup currently)
MSi B75A-G43 Gaming
2x Corsair Vengeance LP 4Gb
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
7.2krpm SATA 500gb
XFX 550W Core Edition ATX 12v 80+ Bronze

Thanks!

Seems I might have solved this myself (knock on Wood). Updating Management Engine (ME) seems to have done the trick. Fast bootups for 2 days now.
