[SOLVED] Which connection do I need to connect gpu?

I've just bought an rtx 2060, upgrading from 1050TI. The rtx needs to be connected to my psu but I'm not sure which port I need to use. My Corsair psu has a 6 pin slot and an 8 pin slot, the RTX has an 8 pin slot. Do I need to go from the 8-pin to the 8-pin or do I need to go from th 6-pin to the 8-pin? Any help is much appreciated!!
