Which connectors do I need?

Hey, I used hdmi to hdmi on my old gpu, but I got a new one and it needs a dvi-i to my monitor which is vga, what kind of connectors do I need to get then? Is the dvi-i gonna have to be male or female, and is the vga need to be male or female?

Which graphics card do you have exactly and which monitor brand and model?

If it´s really DVI-I to VGA, you will just need to use a simple adapter:

If your graphics card has just a DVI-D connector, you will need an active adapter like SR-71 Blackbird posted.

My graphics card doesnt have a DVI-D Connector? Its a gtx 650 2 gb, my monitor is a samsung S24D390

Please verify your postings, the monitor has HDMI in. The best way to connect the monitor and the gtx 650 would be mini
HDMI to HDMI
or
DVI Dual link to HDMI cable

Please post the brand and exact model of your gtx 650, there are different connections possible from model to model.
