I have a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 motherboard with the following controllers...
SATA 2 ICH10R - 6 connectors
GSATA 2 Gigabyte - 2 connectors
GSATA 3 Marvel 9128 - 2 connectors
I'm connecting a larger boot drive (SATA III SSD) and reinstalling Windows 7. My plan is to connect the boot SSD and one additional SSD to the GSATA 3 controller. Is this my best option and what BIOS settings do I change for AHCI? Do I need to change any settings in Windows for ACHI support.
Which connector should I use for the remaining SSD and will it support AHCI?
Thanks for your help.
