DETAILS
So I was thinking of buying an SSD for my system but I wasn't sure what interface I should purchace and in which controller I should mount it.
Here are my motherboards storage specs:
Intel® P67(B3) chipset :
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), gray
4 x SATA 3Gb/s port(s), blue
Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10
Marvell® PCIe 9120 controller :
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), navy blue
(the Marvel chipset says it can only be used for data hard drives)
I have my 2 WD Caviar black in the 2 gray intel ports which have SATA III interface and I was wondering if I should buy an SSD with SATA III interface and put it in the intel Chipset and move the 2 WD drives from the Intel to the Marvel chipset or should I buy and SSD SATA II and put it in my Intel SATA II ports and leave the WD drives in the Intel SATA III ports.
In the end I want you to tell me which is better performance wise.
Thanks in advance!!!
