Hi,

I have three sets of Corsair Memory, which are below.

1. CMX1024-3200PT XMS3200 v8.1 0816047-4
XMS3200 1024MB 400MHz 3-3-3-8

2. CMX1024-3200PRO XMS3200 v4.4 0603296-1
XMS3200 1024MB 400MHz 3.3.3.8

3. CMX1024-3200 XMS3200 v.1.2 0424085-0
XMS3200 1024MB 400MHz 3338

Can you let me know which is the best, second, and the third and why?
Could it be that the higher the voltage the better?

I want to give the third best to my cousin :)

Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean because one says "PT", the other "PRO" and the third nothing at the end.

Anyway, this appears to be old DDR memory (before DDR2) so as I said they may not work at all. There's just not enough information.

I also think he may be confusing the "version number" with "voltage". For example, that's not "1.2 volts" it's likely "version 1.2".

Considering the frequency and timings are all identical I can't imagine they would perform much different though there may be a quality and/or overclocking potential difference.

I may be wrong but am thinking they came out with these then, started rolling out the same line with different colored heatsinks on them, as well as updates to chips used. This was back about 2003/4 or so later era DDR sticks shortly before DDR2 was released, I believe.
