Which Cpu and motherboard combo should I buy for gaming ?

I want to buy a CPU and motherboard to upgrade my current pc.
I want the combo to be under 16000 rupees (Its for gaming mostly).
I have heard that we should use intel cpu for nvidia and amd for radeon cards.Does this matter in any way?
My current config:
Intel i3-2100
MSI gtx 750 ti 2 GB OC(not Twinfroz).
have 6 GB ram(2+4)
PSU-Antec vp450p
Please suggest the best in India .
Also I want atleast 4 or 6 usb ports for the motherboard

no it doesnt matter what cpu to pair with gpu but save more for a i5 and a h81 board because the only thing available in that price range is another i3 and wont really be a game changer like the i5

Hello,

Your best fit for your budget will be a second-hand i5 (i5-2500 or, with a BIOS update, an i5-3570). As shadows1234 said, there will be little to no advantages for a new i3 and you already have a decent GPU. Plus, many newer games will need at least a 4-core CPU, and the i3 is actually a dual-core with hyperthreading.

For more USB ports, you can go for a powered USB external hub or an additional internal USB card PCI adapter.
