Which CPU cooler is better?

ThermalTake 3.0 Ultimate or Corsair H110i, not really planning to do a custom water loop yet, so trying to decide which of these two coolers are best.. 360mm or 280mm?

Only reason why I was trying to go with the 360mm is because I'm using a 900d case and in the future I'm going to expand to a custom water loop, and I was going to replace the stock fan with SP 140mm fans.

Ok. You can still get the 360mm rad cooler, but don't get that much extra out of it. So it's up to you, there aren't really any disadvantages to both.

There might be other differences between the two that are important that I'm not aware of like water block design. From a general standpoint on it, even if a larger 360mm doesn't provide a lot of additional cooling the extra radiator space will more than likely allow you to turn the fans to a lower speed and achieve the same cooling capacity as the h110i. That's one of the benefits to 'over radding' or using more radiator than necessary to cool, the ability to turn fans down and end up with just as much cooling at a fraction of the noise.

I've actually decided to go with a custom water loop instead..
Not sure which is better closed or custom

Closed and custom water loops will not differ in temps very much. The main reason for custom is for customization and being able to deck it out to look cool and wow your friends. It also helps with expand-ability which means that you will be able to add new components to your loop as opposed to just the CPU you can possibly add the GPU and some cases even the Motherboard.

custom will always cool better.

I think custom work out a bit better overall due to quality of parts. Better waterblocks, better (quieter) pumps, that sort of thing. "Do everything" or all in one combo type products rarely work as well as individual parts. Kind of like getting an all in one tool that's a mower and an edger and a leaf blower and a hedge trimmer. If those products truly worked as advertised or were as good as individual higher end equipment then landscapers would be using them. Kit's are usually cheaper and all about convenience. It does cost more though, just like individual tools cost more. Plus you get customization options you wouldn't have otherwise, with an aio you're limited to tubing length. Custom loops you can build out and arrange parts where you like and they will still reach.

Are these parts good? And should I get quick disconnect fittings or stay with regular compression fittings I currently have?
