Liquid cooling is not a magical concept. It's all about fin surface area.
The small 120mm liquids don't have any more fin surface area than the good air coolers. It just allows that to be in a different place....mounted to the side of the case, instead of directly on the CPU.
If you want better liquid cooling, you have to go up to a 240mm or larger. And then accept the slightly increased noise factor. Pump, moving liquid, more fans...

ok, if I stick to the 120mm cooling solution ill choose the deep cool air cooler, unless I decide to go with a 240mm liquid cooler. and I do know how loud the 240mm liquid coolers are I have a corsair h105 on my gaming rig and its kinda loud.
