Hey, im planning to upgrade my PC but im a complete noob when it comes to PCs. My goal is to overclock the cpu to 4.8 Ghz. I would like to get some recommendations.
-Motherboard: ASUS STRIX Z390-H or MSI Z390 Gaming EDGE AC
-Cooler: ?
-GPU: MSI GTX 960 4GB
-CPU: Intel i5 9600k
-PSU: FSP Hyper 600w
-Case: Corsair Spec-02
-RAM: HyperX 16 GB 3200 MHz DDR4
-SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
-HDD: Toshiba 1TB

Your case will limit your options. The Scythe has excellent cooling performance and the Noctua has excellent quality. Both should get you 4.8GHz. The Scythe would handle 5.0GHz.

*Update: Looking at the second chart, which is rather old; I don't think I would get the U12S if the Mugen 5 was also an option.

CPU Cooler: Noctua - NH-U12S 55 CFM CPU Cooler ($57.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Scythe - Mugen 5 Rev. B 51.17 CFM CPU Cooler ($51.89 @ OutletPC)

The Mugen 5 SCMG-5000 is the standard edition with one Kazi 1200 RPM fan.
The Mugen 5 revision B SCMG-5100 is the 5000 edition plus an AM4 bracket for AMD.
The Mugen 5 PCGH (PC Gamers Hardware magazine) is the extra quiet edition with two 800 RPM Kazi fans, but slightly less cooling ability than the 5000/5100 editions.

I would tend to go with the 5000/5100 for the extra cooling ability. It will be quieter than most other coolers.

And what about a liquid cooler? Cause I was looking at the Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120L RGB and it seems that they take much less space. The performance might not be as good as the Scythe Mugen 5 tho, so I'm just asking :D

I like air coolers, but if you want to go liquid, I would look at the 240-280 AIO's as the minimum. As to which brand, maybe someone else will make some recommendations.
