Im wondering which CPU cooler should I buy. The two that Im thinking about are noctua nh-u14s and nh-u12s. Which one should I buy. My CPU is an intel core i5 6600k. I would like to overclock it to only say about 4-4.2 GHz. Which one will be good for this?

4.2 does not produce lots of heat even if the voltage is on auto.

I run my 6600k at 4.5 at 1.3V with a less performing cooler, my gaming temp is around 55-60C.

I think if you really want to keep it cool u14 is a better option, but both will do just fine.

Thank you for your reply. So I don't need to spend the extra money on the u14s then? Yea I want to use the asus auto tune on my maximus viii gene motherboard so 4.5 will be ok using the u12s?

You don’t need the expensive cooler, however keep in mind auto tune tends to set the voltage fairly high, so your temp on 4.5 ghz auto most definitely runs hotter than manual oc cpu ( using voltage increment, stress test , repeat method)
