I'm an avid gamer and am looking to stream in the future, I use NVENC for streaming therefore I don't think it affects my CPU. I'm looking to purchase a new CPU+Mobo and was wondering which do I get?
189.99 Ryzen 5 2600 w/ Wraith Cooler + 120GB SSD (Combo Deal)
175.99 Ryzen 5 1600 w/ Wraith Cooler
119.99 i3-8100 w/ Stock Cooler
179.99 i5 8400 w/ Stock Cooler

I have a 200 USD Budget

The i5 has around 15% more performance per single core. However , the 2600 is better "as a whole" with around 15% , since his clock speed is 3.4 GHz.

The only valid reasons to get the 2600 is the bonus SSD + a bigger L3 Cache. Other then that, there are small differences between the two and only "visible" if you are really stressing your computer.

i3 is out of the question.

Any differences in performance etc? i3-8100 says it gets more fps than the Ryzen 5's but then why would the price range be so different?

Where does it say the i3 pulls more FPS? The 2600 has slightly better single core performance over the i3.

Even though you’re streaming using a GPU bound codec you would benefit more from the extra cores and vastly more threads (6c/12t). If you wanted to switch to a streaming codec that utilizes the CPU then you would be golden.
